The project, by the architectural firm Kieran Timberlake, aims to express the fundamental ideals of democracy: transparency and equality.
At the same time, the building adds to the quest for environmental safeguarding as a symbol of the challenges facing the nations of the world. The Kieran Timberlake firm for this purpose included OLIN as Landscape Architects; Arup for Sustainability, MEP / FP and Civil Engineering; Weidlinger Associates for Structural Engineering, Gensler for workplace design; Davis Langdon as Cost Consultant and Sako & Associates in Safety Technique.
The embassy is located in the center of Nines Elms and, especially with its gardens and urban park, has managed to redevelop and beautify the area.
The visual presence of the building, with its landscaped spaces integrated with the surroundings through the play of transparencies, is like a "lighthouse", a demonstration of the deep respect between the two nations and their optimal relationship.
